Additionally, fellows engage in the EM Ultrasound Journal Club, ultrasound scanning shifts with direct bedside teaching, and academic and research mentoring, which involves developing and executing a research project.
Fellows are expected to actively participate in emergency ultrasound research and are encouraged to submit abstracts and articles for publication. The program also offers unique opportunities like a two-year fellowship for those pursuing advanced degrees, combined fellowships in International and Resuscitation, and a longitudinal teaching scholars program. Graduates of the program will be eligible to take the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers certification exam.
